Why JTV is broken and how it can be fixed

1. Bring back the old archive system - The new archive system is very hard to work with seeing as how almost every single time a person wants a clip made, he has to wait about half an hour to an hour, go through an entire clip to find one small clip and then has to go through the effort of making the highlight.

With the old archive system, all you had to do was a wait a few minutes or mark down the time from the casters time setting and then you could make the highlight almost instantly. Easier for instant or day later highlights and causes less unneeded clips.

2. Bring back the front page feature - Around 2008-2009 there was an old feature to the site in which anyone could be put onto the front page if the admins or staff members found them interesting enough to do so, this was a GREAT way for newer users to be found out about and to become more watched, later JTV removed it from what I've read, no reason. This is a great feature that helped a lot of people (including myself) become popular on JTV.

3. Remove 'Followers', bring back 'Favorites' - The whole 'Followers' ordeal is just silly. Feel free to correct me on this if I'm incorrect, but apparently anyone you've added as a friend and/or had favorited became a follower, which means they can message you on meebo and invite you into any stream they wished, which if that person likes to invite people into their stream or their friends stream multiple times, would get VERY annoying, VERY quickly.

I doubt it would be that hard to bring back the old favorites feature or to at the very least make us choose who we want followed rather then just forcing a list onto us. Which yes, you can fix, but could take a good half an hour depending on how many people you're following.

4. Remove the producers badge for about 85% of the people on the site - A huge list of people have the producers badge for really no reason at all, if you were around the site in 2008-2009, there used to be a "I was featured!" badge for either getting put onto the front page or giving you the ability to be put onto the front page. This was something that took a lot of work to earn, rather then just sending an email to get. At the very least JTV, make the producers badge harder to get as it's just silly on how many people have this badge.

5. Remove the sports and entertainment channels - These sections are both HIGHLY illegal seeing as how most of the sports channels that broadcast, broadcast pay-per-view shows, which is illegal no matter how you look at it. The entertainment channel is also bad. Most of the time it's generally people streaming 'The Office' or maybe 'The Simpsons' but you can also find people streaming movies that are only in theaters, meaning they obviously pirated it. Any sort of lawyer who sees this could sue the shit out of JTV if they wanted to, and I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. Removing these channels would not only help with any legal difficulties JTV is having, but would also spare JTV a huge amount of bandwidth costs but would also save JTV money.

6. Get more staff - I'm not sure if the staff are to blame of it's just that JTV is understaffed, but most of the time when people would get banned, even back in the good old days, it would take at least take about 3-6 weeks to even get a response on to why you were banned, sometimes you could be banned for first offenses, which is also bullshit. Overall though, if JTV had more staff to at least RESPOND to the emails, it would cause a lot less frustration and would overall make the users happy, causing them to cast more, causing JTV to earn more money and more users signing up. Everyone would be a winner.
