After watching the SAW 2 VG trailer located above, I have to admit that I'm excited but kinda worried at the same time, now don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the first SAW game as it was a short but sweet experience... however, this worries me for a few big reasons.
For anyone who is a fan of the horror genre has probably watched one of the SAW movies or has seen them all, and I have to admit the series really isn't that great but they still keep making movies once a year as were already up to SAW 6 and now they're making SAW 7 (SAW 3D if you wish to call it that) and that kinda pisses me off that rather then stopping the series or improving it, the only thing they generally improve on is the 'traps' which are generally just "lol cut your eye out or die" which isn't only disgusting, but just plain irritating how rather then getting a very gripping storyline with character development, we get someone who has to drink a cup of acid in order to take a key from it or they'll have their chest ripped open. Seriously? I know screenplays for movies nowadays are bad but this is just... REALLY bad, but back to the main point, my worries about SAW 2 (VG)
The main thing that worries me now is that they're gonna do the same thing for the games as they did the movies which is just making game, after game, after game, after game. Which isn't bad if done correctly, but they can mess it up if they don't improve on what they have, and what is it that they have? One of the most popular horror film series out right now. Now my second biggest concern is the replay value. It took me two days, yes, two days to get every single achievement in the SAW game (if memory serves me correctly) and the game had no multiplayer, which pissed me off cause that was the main thing I was buying it for. Think about it, would you much rather play through a deserted mansion in which everyone would kill the person next to them if they could escape and which you have to do really brutal traps alone or with friends?
Personally, as long as they fix the combat and add something multiplayer (CO-OP PLEASE!!!), then I'll put 60 bucks down for this game.
