Horror games and you!

Generally I find myself angry with the lack of good horror games nowadays, with crap like Resident Evil 5, Escape from Bug Island and Silent Hill: Homecoming being released it causes me to generally look the other way in disgust, sure we'll be blessed with some great horror games like the Penumbra series, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and FEAR 2 but for the most part it's just games that aren't scary and cause little to no entertainment with little to no replay value. Now I admit, there are ALOT of interesting horror games coming out this year, the two main ones on my mind are mainly Alan Wake and Amnesia: The Dark Decent which are both being made by two game companies that I trust to the core, Amensia being made by Frictional Games, the creators of the Penumbra series and Alan Wake being made by Remedy Games, the guys behind the Max Payne series so if anyone has a chance of reviving the horror series, its these guys. I hope to see Silent Hill and Resident Evil becoming more paced in the horror series again, but for now, Silent Hill: Homecoming and Resident Evil 5 are both just action shooters with little to no scares, until then though, I have high hopes for Amensia and Alan Wake.

Here's to hoping that Alan Wake and Amensia are amazing games.
